Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer

Fitness Instructor Responsibilities:
Organize and lead participants through a group exercise class (land and/or water).
Follow YMCA guidelines for the class.
Prepare room for class & put away equipment when class is done.

Personal Trainer Responsibilities
Motivate members and provide a safe and properly instructed environment.
Instruct in safe alternatives to inappropriate or contraindicated exercises.
Must be able to recognize and/or assist members with creating their fitness goals and work
with them to achieve those goals.

Requirements:
Current SilverSneakers certification is preferred; will train the right candidate
Current First Aid/CPR certification
At least one (1) year experience in health and fitness
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Must be able to communicate effectively while demonstrating Y Core Values of
caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Part-time, 15+ hours per week for classes beginning June 25, 2018
