TORYMCA is a fun-filled summer program held at the Torrington Y for children ages 6-12. Each day consists of arts & crafts, STEM activities and outdoor games as well as student chosen electives. Each child has the chance to learn new things while enjoying new adventures. Weekly field trips and/or in-house special activities and daily swim included. (Before & After care available on site)

Summer Readers: 30 minutes per day consisting of shared and independent reading.

Electives: Sports, art, dance, and drama are a few of the activities to choose from.

Healthy Eating: Through a partnership with EdAdvance, we are once again pleased to offer lunch to children free of charge.

EXTENDED CARE

Extended child care is available for TORYMCA participants.

Children may arrive as early as 6:00 am and remain as late as 6 pm.  Please see before and after care here.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

If you need financial assistance with affording camp fees, we have 3 options for you.

1. Apply to State of Connecticut Care 4 Kids program that supports families with working parents. To apply select this link here.

FORMS TO BE COMPLETED & SUBMITTED (prior to camp starting)

The following forms must be printed & completed and returned to Jana Freer at [email protected] by the start of your child’s first week at TORYMCA.  Children are not permitted to attend unless completed forms are submitted.

Childcare Handbook (please print and sign pages 25 & 26)

Child Information Form (please print and complete)

Health Assessment. Form must have been completed within the last 36 months.

If your child has asthma, please complete the Asthma Care Plan Form.

Allergy Emergency Care Plan (Doctors can use their own form as well)

If your child needs medication administered by YMCA staff, please complete the Medication Administration Plan Form.
